Thanksgiving '12,

First off: Happy Thanksgiving to those in the States! But if you’re out of the country, Happy Thursday!

My Thanksgiving started out lonely, (Mother is out of town, and Lyric is still in school) then Paige saves the day! When we went to the store- it was packed!- they were out of turkeys (To my relief really. Last Thanksgiving, I almost set the house on fire!) I saw they had plenty of frozen pizzas! Dinner!
So, we go home and do what the box says. Of course, I don't tell Paige this, but I know the box of every pizza box available at the grocery store, I just happen to eat a lot of pizza.

We talk, and eat, and talk...

When we say the blessing and dig in, Paige’s little sister, Lexi, comes up and wants to join us. According to Paige, Lexi was supposed to have Thanksgiving dinner with a friend down the street and just dropped her off.
I’ve always like Lexi; she was adopted (like Paige from Singapore) when she was just a baby. Paige was adopted when she was two or three.

Paige asks me how the “plan” is going. This, of course, interests Lexi. So, I tell her all about it. She really likes the idea and wants to stay with me and her sister while we’re doing this! She’s now 13, so she’s old enough. Her and Lyric are okay friends. Maybe this will help them become friends..? But before I can open my mouth, Paige goes on about how she would have to get the “adoption fee”, (Which I know Lexi won’t have a problem getting the money) asking their mom, and of course, asking me. I don’t know if Lexi would be able to come, but I know it could be cool and Lexi would like it.

I have gotten about twenty “auditions”. Two have a good chance of joining “The Chambers House Girls”. So far that’s what I’ve been calling it.
